On May 25th, 2022, The International Social Impact Institute®, King Baudouin Foundation United States (KBFUS), Nelson Mandela University, Candid, GivingTuesday, and Myriad Alliance for Borderless Giving hosted a virtual fireside chat to share the story of Nelson Mandela University’s academic expression on Africa Day. The event featured the university’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sibongile Muthwa, who shared about the university’s purpose and impact as the academic expression of Nelson Mandela, and their commitment to creating a sustainable and socially just world. The fireside chat was moderated by Elizabeth Ngonzi, CEO, and Founder of the International Social Impact Institute®. The event showcased the university’s global ecosystem and its consistent initiatives to develop education and African-purposed solutions to build a sustainable world.
