The digital giving and fundraising space has been largely expanded due to the pandemic thus, giving nonprofits the opportunity to connect with a plethora of donors and supporters across the globe. The 2020 Global Trends in Giving Report reveals that 92% of donors worldwide indicate that nonprofits stay relevant by making financial investments in digital communications. Specifically, with respect to giving in Africa, 35% of donors were inspired to give via social media, and of those donors, 42% deemed Facebook as the most influential giving platform, followed by WhatsApp (25%). Considering this, nonprofits should make the investment to be equipped with the tools to effectively inspire, engage and connect with donors and sponsors through digital platforms.
Beyond merely having an online presence as a means of thriving during the pandemic, nonprofits should know how to communicate their stories in ways that highlight the alignment between their priorities and that of donors, as well as utilize the resources available through digital platforms efficiently. This webinar seeks to help nonprofits based in Africa to take advantage of the vibrant and growing online giving space to help them continue making lasting impact on their societies and spheres of influence.
